Nothing says “hero” like a flowing cape. Minecraft Dungeons 2 has five of them, and some come with deadlines, so it pays to know what you’re chasing.

How to Unlock Them
Hero Cape: This red-and-gold cape is the classiest of the bunch. Play the original Minecraft Dungeons, then launch the sequel on the same Microsoft account. Do it before December 31, 2026.

Twisted Cape: Pre-order the game, then launch it on or after September 29, 2026 to claim this skeleton-rib design. It looks great in the Deep Dark.
Soul Cape: Buy the Deluxe Edition and launch the game. You also get future DLCs, hero skins and the Blub pet companion.
Corrupted Creeper Cape: The watch-quest window ran from September 21 to 26, 2026 and is now closed. If you completed it, redeem your code in-game.
Special Cape: Mojang hasn’t explained how to get it yet, so watch for announcements.
How to Equip Your Cape
Once a cape is unlocked, equip it from the game’s customization options. For the Hero and Twisted Capes, Mojang says to log into Minecraft Java or Bedrock after you can equip them in Dungeons 2, and they’ll unlock there too.
The #1 mistake: using different Microsoft accounts across the games. Stick to one account and your cape will show up.
