Rockstar’s biggest launch is almost here, and your PS5 storage may be the first hurdle. A widely reported leak puts GTA 6 at around 210 GB on PS5. Here’s what’s confirmed, what isn’t and how to prepare.

## The Headline Number

PlayStation Game Size reports a 210 GB download on PS5 and PS5 Pro, based on PlayStation Store data. Rockstar has not officially confirmed the size, so treat it as a strong report rather than a final figure. ## GTA 6 Launch Snapshot

| Detail | Status |
| --- | --- |
| **PS5 download size** | About 210 GB, reported, not official |
| **Release date** | November 19, 2026 |
| **Preload date** | November 12, reported |
| **Standard Edition price** | $79.99, as listed in the same leak |
| **Xbox size** | Not yet confirmed [Change language to +4](https://tbreak.com/gta-6-download-size-210-gb/) |

## How Big Is 210 GB?

It is huge. That would take up nearly a third of the PS5’s usable SSD space of about 667 GB. By comparison, GTA 5 is listed at around 95 GB on PS4 and 100 GB on PS5. Players with the standard console drive will probably need to uninstall a few games before the preload opens. For more gaming news, [f](https://technosports.co.in/)

## Why Preload Matters?

Preloading lets you download the game before launch so you can play the moment it unlocks. The preload is reportedly set to open on November 12, a week before the November 19 release. With a file this large, the extra week is a real help, especially on slower connections. ## Plan for More Than 210 GB

The number may not be the final one. A day-one patch could add to the download. Some outlets recommend freeing up extra space, and several US sites suggest around 250 GB. A sensible plan looks like this: [tbreak](https://tbreak.com/gta-6-download-size-210-gb/)[korben](https://korben.info/de/gta-6-210-gb-ps5-ausmisten.html)

- **Check storage now:** see how much free space your PS5 has.
- **Clear space early:** remove games you rarely play instead of rushing on preload day.
- **Consider an expansion:** an M.2 SSD upgrade is worth thinking about if you keep many big titles installed.
- **Leave headroom:** future updates and online content will grow the install over time.

## What About Xbox and PC?

There’s no confirmed Xbox size yet. A PC version is reportedly coming in the first quarter of 2027. Treat that PC timing as a report, not a promise. [fandomwire](https://fandomwire.com/gta-6-file-size-and-release-time-revealed/)

The 210 GB figure comes from a data-mining account with a track record, but it isn’t official. Prepare now, then check the PlayStation Store listing when the preload opens. Want more?
