Destiny 2: The Collection — Is It Still Worth Buying in 2026?

With Destiny 2 heading toward the end of its live-service journey, Bungie has bundled nearly everything the game has ever offered into one package: Destiny 2: The Collection. But with years of expansions, raids, and dungeons stacked together, the real question is — does it still deliver enough value to justify the price tag?

What’s Actually Included?

This isn’t a small bundle. The Collection packs in every major expansion and content drop released across the game’s lifetime, including Renegades, The Edge of Fate, The Final Shape, Lightfall, The Witch Queen, the 30th Anniversary Pack, plus legacy content like Beyond Light, Shadowkeep, and Forsaken.

On top of the campaigns, you get access to 10 dungeons (including Duality, Warlord’s Ruin, and Vesper’s Host) and 7 raids (Last Wish, Garden of Salvation, Deep Stone Crypt, Vow of the Disciple, Root of Nightmares, and more).

Destiny 2: Pricing Breakdown

The mixed Steam review score is worth noting — while the content volume is undeniable, some players cite past frustrations with vaulted content and pricing structure over the years.

Is It Worth Buying?

If you’re new to Destiny 2 or missed years of expansions, this bundle is genuinely one of the most cost-effective ways to catch up on the story and endgame content — especially when picked up during a sale near its historical low. With dozens of hours of campaign content plus raid and dungeon replayability, the playtime-to-price ratio is hard to beat at a discount. However, if you’re chasing only the newest content, buying individual recent expansions may serve you better.
