Rockstar just dropped the biggest GTA+ bombshell yet — GTA 5’s iconic story mode is now FREE for all active GTA+ subscribers on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S!
That’s right: Michael, Trevor, and Franklin’s legendary chaos-filled adventure is no longer locked behind a separate purchase. As long as your GTA+ membership ($7.99/month) is active, you get instant access to the full story mode — all 69 missions, all side content, everything.
This is massive considering GTA 5 has sold over 200 million copies worldwide (see GTA 5 on Wikipedia) and new players were still dropping $30+ just for the campaign.
