How to Access the Ice Cradle
The Ice Cradle Abyss puzzle becomes accessible once you complete the Altar of Solitude, which unlocks the Skybridge. Cross the Skybridge, enter the Abyss, then take a right — you’ll see a cavern below you. Drop down and head through the entrance to begin.
The cavern splits into two areas: the switch puzzle room on the right, and the fuel cell room behind the ice wall straight ahead. You need to complete both.
The room contains five glowing switches, each of which plays a different musical note. Your goal is to press them in the correct sequence to match the melody being played in the room. Listen carefully — the tune loops and each switch corresponds to a distinct note. The correct sequence is: Switch 2 → Switch 4 → Switch 1 → Switch 5 → Switch 3. If you get the order wrong, the room resets — just listen again and retry.
Step 2 — Find the Hidden Fuel Cell
This is where most players get stuck. Head to the ice wall ahead — wires descend from it into the fuel cell room. Climb the wall using Aerial Force Palm and gliding to reach the top. Look left to find the fuel cell with electricity dancing around it.
Step 3 — Slot in the Fuel Cell
Grab the fuel cell using Axiom Force, carry it into the room behind you, raise it near the top-left socket, and it will rotate automatically. Then use Force Palm to slot the fuel cell into place.
Step 4 — Connect the Conduit
With the puzzle complete and fuel cell slotted in, the wall to your right will open. Follow the wire until you find the disconnected spot near the end. Connect the conduit wire — the valve on the wall will begin to glow. Climb to the centre of the valve and use Force Palm to activate it.
Step 5 — Claim Your Abyss Artifact
Head straight to the pillar ahead and collect your Abyss Artifact — a key progression mechanic in Crimson Desert used to unlock new skills and permanently boost your core stats in the skill tree.
