| 🔵 A-Tier | Druid | Lightning Shred / Landslide | ~125+ |
| 🔵 A-Tier | Necromancer | Minion Army / Blood Wave | ~120 |
| 🟡 B-Tier | Rogue | Penetrating Shot / Dance of Knives | ~150 (likely bugged) |
| 🟡 B-Tier | Sorcerer | Crackling Energy / Hydra | ~116 |

Best Build for Each Class

⚔️ Barbarian — Call of the Ancients / Whirlwind
9 Barbarian looks strong again. The top PTR clear is around 137, mainly with Call of the Ancients Barbarian — strong scaling, strong pushing, strong endgame reliability. Meanwhile, 1 the Whirlwind Barbarian remains the best overall Barbarian build for farming, combining exceptional speed, smooth gameplay, and massive “GIGA CRIT” hits from The Grandfather’s Critical Strike scaling.
🛡️ Paladin — Bash / Blessed Hammer
6 Paladins came out as the least nerfed class on the PTR. Their kit largely escaped the heaviest changes, and Zeal-style and Aura-style builds still have plenty of room. Many community members are already predicting another wave of Paladin dominance similar to Season 12. 12 The verdict is unanimous: the Paladin is the absolute king of the patch, thanks to a ridiculous new Sword of Justice multiplier, Spirit Board buffs, and the Mythic Unique 3.0 system.
🐻 Druid — Lightning Shred / Landslide
9 The best Druid build so far is Lightning Shred, with Landslide / Petrify close behind. Lightning Shred is faster while Landslide / Petrify has stronger controlled burst. Both look better than being forced back into Companion Druid.
💀 Necromancer — Minion Army (Golem + Army of the Dead)
9 Necromancer’s best PTR clear is around 120, and the top setup is not Blood Wave — it is Minion Necromancer with Golem and Army of the Dead. 4 Blood Wave, which had long dominated Necromancer, may be giving way after the Dominate Glyph was nerfed from 23.6% damage per stack to just 1.8%.
🗡️ Rogue — Penetrating Shot / Twisting Blades
9 Rogue is the most dangerous class to rank. Early PTR results had Dance of Knives and Twisting Blades around 120–122. Then Penetrating Shot / Shadow Shot jumped to around 150 — which usually means a bug. If you start Rogue because of the 150 clear, expect patch risk.
🧙 Sorcerer — Crackling Energy / Hydra
6 Ball Lightning is dead for now, so Crackling Energy is the safer pick — it still clears T12 quickly and benefits from Mythic crafting on Tal Rasha’s-style stat pieces. 4 Meanwhile, the Hydra build currently holds the top spot on the Season 14 PTR Pit Leaderboard for Sorcerers.
🌿 Spiritborn — Rushing Claw (Nerfed)
6 The big news for Spiritborn is the loss of infinite dash and a 120% reduced damage tag on key aspects, which effectively kills the evade-counter-swarm setup. Rushing Claw with Pestilent Swarm still functions, but the class will need new build paths to stay competitive.
😈 Warlock — Shadow Claws / Minion Warlock
6 Warlocks remain one of the more underbaked classes. Metamorphosis and Demon Form did not get the buffs many were hoping for, and their key defensive tool was actually nerfed. However, 11 one pure Minion Warlock build with only passable gear managed to deal 300 billion damage on the PTR — and was virtually invincible.
Who Should You Main in Season 14?
Here’s the TL;DR from the community consensus:9 If you want power with low drama, play Barbarian. If you want fresh builds, play Druid. If you want to gamble on busted damage, play Rogue. If you want minions, watch Necromancer closely. 9 If you only have time for one character, choose Barbarian or Druid — they have the best mix of power, options, and safety.

Important PTR Disclaimer
9 This is not final live balance. PTR leaderboards are messy. Bugs exist. Some builds are made only for Tower pushing. Still, the data is useful if you want to choose a strong Season 14 starter without wasting your first week.
