A Faithful Florida Ecosystem
Rockstar’s vice president of dynamic art, Michael Kane, said the team wanted to faithfully include Florida’s diverse animal ecosystem across the biomes in Leonida, from city streets to swamps and the Everglades. That includes non-native, invasive animals such as monkeys and armadillos, which you can find in Florida.
Fur, Feathers and Glow
The technical detail is impressive. Animals will display iridescence, bioluminescence, translucency and feather types, plus new hair and fur systems for coats and pelts. Fur is also fully simulated, so it can react to dirt matting, clumping and getting wet. That’s a big step up from flat textures. MP1stKotaku
Hunting for Rare Finds
If you loved tracking creatures in Red Dead Redemption 2, you’re in luck. Some animals fall into special Rare, Discoverable and Legendary categories, though Rockstar is keeping these creatures under wraps for now. Pair that with the new weather system, and Leonida sounds truly alive. Want more reveals like this? Check out our latest GTA 6 coverage. Dexerto
