The B.A.L.L. gun is the most unhinged weapon in High on Life 2 — a bouncing pinball launcher that ricochets projectiles off walls and enemies in the most gloriously chaotic way possible. The catch? It’s entirely optional and easy to miss. You won’t stumble into it during the main story. Instead, you need to track down three hidden Ball Guys across the game world.

Here’s your no-nonsense guide to getting it done.

What Is the B.A.L.L. Gun?

Originally appearing in the High on Knife DLC for the first game, the B.A.L.L. gun returns in High on Life 2 as your seventh and final weapon — a pinball-inspired launcher that fires bouncing projectiles which ricochet unpredictably, dealing damage in hilarious ways. It absolutely shines in enclosed spaces. Think of it as the game’s Easter egg wrapped in a weapon skin.

Step-by-Step: How to Get Each Ball Guy

Ball Guy #1 – Dance Battle (Pinkline Harbor) Head to the Liquid Nights nightclub in Pinkline Harbor — but you’ll need Bowie first, as his special ability opens the entrance. Inside, initiate a dance battle with the DJs. It’s a basic rhythm game that doesn’t require perfect timing. Do well enough and you’ll earn the first Ball Guy.

Ball Guy #2 – Taxi Quest (Circuit Arcadia) This sidequest isn’t marked on the map. Head slightly north from the central fast travel point and find a man named Clutch beside a broken taxi. Accept his job, then pick up NPCs waving flags around Circuit Arcadia. You need to deliver ten passengers total — failed rides don’t break the quest. After finishing, Clutch becomes your final fare; drive him to Rhea Plaza to claim your reward.

Ball Guy #3 – Fishing (Circuit Arcadia Zoo) First, get a fishing rod from Pinkline Harbor by helping a stranded man whose boat is stuck — use Travis’s ability to free it. Then head to the southern fishing spot at Circuit Arcadia Zoo and keep catching fish until you hook the rare gold one. That gold fish is the Ball Guy.

Unlocking the B.A.L.L. Gun at Base

After gathering all three Ball Guys, return to your base and place them inside the pet enclosure. The B.A.L.L. gun will spawn on top of the carrier — interact with it to add the weapon to your inventory and unlock the B.A.L.L. In The Family achievement.
