Step-by-Step: How to Unlock It
Step 1 — Unlock Hexi First Complete the Qinghe Campaign Still Shore, then start the Hexi Main Chapter By Lamplight. You must also visit the Wayfarer in the Hushi region to unlock the Jade Gate Pass map.
Step 2 — Find Monk Unknowing Head to Peaceward Camp in Jade Gate Pass (slightly northeast of the Jade Gate Pass fast travel point). Look for Monk Unknowing standing on a raised wooden platform near the Boundary Stone — you’ll hear him playing.
Step 3 — Play Kalavinka (The Rhythm Mini-Game) Interact and play the song Kalavinka on the flute. Match the falling notes to the scanline. A perfect score is NOT required — just finish the song to trigger the quest.
Step 4 — Perform at Whitecrown Fortress Travel southeast of Peaceward Camp to Whitecrown Fortress. Follow the quest marker to a small white beam on the ground and play the shorter flute passage (~20 seconds).
Step 5 — Perform at Heroic Tomb Head west to the Heroic Tomb in the Ayisu sub-region, near the lake. Perform the flute piece once more at the marked spot.
Step 6 — Return to Monk Unknowing Go back to Peaceward Camp, speak to Monk Unknowing, and the Flute of the Tides Mystic Skill is yours instantly as the quest reward.
Upgrading the Flute of the Tides
