Something’s rumbling beneath Novokitezhgrad, and Koshkin needs a hand. This quest is part of The Crystal City in the Gorge’s Depths series in Genshin Impact. You’ll head into the Kresnik Kristall Mines, rescue trapped miners and earn 40 Primogems plus materials. Here’s the fastest path through.

How to Start the Quest?
The quest triggers automatically once you finish Citadel of the Ancient Fae. That quest also unlocks Let Not All Rivers Run Dry, and you can do the two in either order, since both are needed to progress the series. Head to the mines and speak with Koshkin.
Step 1: Break Into the Mines
After the cutscene, the Pickaxe Prime Ice Construct becomes available. Walk to the ice pile blocking the entrance, use the Eye of Graeae to place a Pickaxe Prime Ice Construct, grab the pickaxe and throw or swing it at the ice. Collect the chest and repeat until you’re inside. Koshkin will then ask you to find a Power Module.
Step 2: Find the Backup Power Module
Head to the stairs with the ice piles and clear the ice blocking the cage with your pickaxe. Climb to the top while destroying rocks, drop into the cage, and grab the Power Module. Open the door nearby, return to Koshkin, and insert the module into the Control Console.
Step 3: Collect the Crystals and Meet the First Miners
Use the Multipurpose Excavation and Hauling Cutter to lift the two Kresnik Kristalls blocking the way, and set them aside before exiting the machine. Then collect the chest, head down the tunnel, clear the path with a Pickaxe Ice Construct and defeat the Slimes around Charodeeva and Lunin. These two miners will point you to the rest of the trapped crew.
Step 4: Rescue the Trapped Miners
You’ll complete five mini-quests to save everyone: Restoring the Severed Lifeline (Mine No.1), Premature Burial (the miner in the rock pile), Let There Be Light in the Depths (the mine cavern), A Precarious Perch (throw a pickaxe to reach high ground) and A Path Beyond Fallen Rocks (Mine No.3). Step 5: Finish at the Crystal Core
Talk to the miner at the giant crystal, cut it with the Cutter, and open another Precious chest. Then go deeper to find Sadunova and examine the Strange Crystal Core.
