Nemanja Matic receives an 87-rated Time Warp item, his first boosted version of the year, transforming him into a meta-relevant CDM. Standing 6’4″ with “Lengthy” acceleration and multiple PlayStyles including Anticipate, Aerial Fortress, and Press Proven, he’s the perfect defensive anchor for possession-based squads.
His Premier League pedigree at Chelsea and Manchester United makes him instantly recognizable, while his current Serie A status provides excellent chemistry flexibility for hybrid builds.

Smart Completion Strategies for Maximum Value
Leverage Untradeable TOTW Cards – Check your club reserves for Team of the Week players from recent Division Rivals or Champions rewards before hitting the transfer market.
Time Your Purchases Strategically – TOTW player prices fluctuate based on content releases. Shop during busy promotional windows when supply increases and prices dip.
Use High-Rated Fodder Wisely – The 85-rated squad is your primary expense. Deploy 86+ rated untradeables from Winter Wildcards SBCs to minimize coin expenditure.
Consider Serie A Options – With Matic currently at Sassuolo, use affordable Serie A silvers to meet the league requirement while maintaining rating efficiency.

Maximizing Matic in Your Ultimate Team
Deploy Matic in a 4-2-3-1 formation with a “Stay Back While Attacking” instruction. His 80 pace, lengthy acceleration, and exceptional defensive awareness make him ideal for intercepting counter-attacks while his pinged pass PlayStyle enables accurate progressive distribution.
