How to Unlock Each Cape?
Hero Cape: Play the original Minecraft Dungeons, then launch the sequel on the same Microsoft account. Mismatched accounts are the most common reason the cape never shows up. Log in before December 31, 2026, so don’t leave it late.
Twisted Cape: Pre-order the game, then launch it on or after September 29, 2026 to claim it. Its skeleton-rib design suits Deep Dark levels perfectly.
Soul Cape: Buy the Deluxe Edition and launch the game. It also includes future DLCs, hero skins and the Blub pet companion.
Corrupted Creeper Cape: The Twitch and TikTok watch window ran from September 21 to 26, 2026, so it has now closed. If you completed it, redeem your code once the game is live.
How to Equip Your Cape?
Once you’ve claimed a cape, equip it from the game’s customization options. Mojang says that when you see a cape is equippable in Dungeons 2, you can then log into Minecraft Java or Bedrock to unlock it there too, but only for the Hero and Twisted Capes.
Quick tip: Always play on the same Microsoft account across all three games. It saves a lot of frustration.
