If you’ve been wandering Nuketown’s timelines wondering what those eerie humming mannequins are about — you’ve stumbled onto one of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Zombies’ most satisfying Easter egg steps. The Mannequin Head puzzle is a key part of unlocking the Blundergat Wonder Weapon in Paradox Junction, and once you know the trick, it’s surprisingly elegant. Here’s the complete guide.

Mannequin Easter Egg — Black Ops 7 Reference
| Step | Location | Timeline |
|---|---|---|
| Pick up SO3 Vial | Yellow House Upstairs — desk by back porch | Future (Destroyed Nuketown) |
| Convert to H2SO4 | Green House kitchen sink | Future (Destroyed Nuketown) |
| Find Humming Mannequin | Scattered across map — listen for chime | Future (Destroyed Nuketown) |
| Pour Acid on Mannequin | Same location as humming mannequin | Past (Clean Nuketown) |
| Collect the Hammer | Melted mannequin remnants | Return to Future |
| Wonder Weapon Reward | Truck workbench, centre of map | Future |
Step 1 — Get the SO3 Vial
The vial needed will be located in the Future version of Nuketown, in the upstairs of the Yellow House, on the desk right before you’d leave onto the back porch. Pick it up and head to the Green House kitchen, where you’ll need to interact with the sink. Doing this will cause the water to bubble and the vial will be filled. myKhel
Step 2 — Find the Right Mannequin
This is where players get tripped up. Don’t guess randomly — use your ears.
Look around Destroyed Nuketown for mannequins. One will have an audio chime. Once you’ve found the correct mannequin, head back to Clean Nuketown and interact with it to pour acid over it. Then, return to Destroyed Nuketown to find the Hammer where the mannequin used to be.

Step 3 — Melt & Retrieve the Hammer
Now, in the decimated future state of the map, look for a mannequin that is making a unique sound and pinpoint its location. Warp to the intact past state of the map and head over to the same mannequin and interact with it. Now warp back to the future state of the map and interact with the molten mannequin to obtain the Hammer. Scores24
Pro tip from the community: acid just 3–4 mannequins at a time since you never know which one will have the Hammer. After melting them, return to the future and check each spot — one will now hold the part. myKhel
tep 4 — Build the Blundergat
The Hammer is one of four parts needed for the Wonder Weapon. The Blundergat is a triple-barreled shotgun built from four parts spread across both timelines — the Sealant, Barrel, Stock, and Hammer. Once you have all four parts, take them to the workbench inside the truck in the present Cul-de-Sac to build the Blundergat. AiScore
Easter Egg Completion Rewards
For completing the Paradox Junction Main Quest, you’ll earn a brand-new Weapon Skin for the Blundergat Wonder Weapon, a Completion Calling Card, and 10,000 XP. Players who complete it before Directed Mode launches earn an exclusive Early Completion Variant of the Calling Card. myKhel
