PUBG Mobile Format: How It Works
The tournament will be played in two phases — a Group Stage and Grand Finals. All 32 teams will be divided into four groups of eight for the Group Stage, with each team playing nine games. The best four from each group advance to the Grand Finals, while the rest are eliminated.
The Grand Final will see 16 teams contest up to 18 matches under the Smash rule point system PocketGamer — a format that rewards consistent high placements alongside clutch Chicken Dinner performances. It’s nail-biting from start to finish.
How Teams Qualify
Getting to Riyadh won’t be easy. The top 12 teams will receive direct invites based on the PUBG Mobile National Team Ranking, with 4 additional special invitations granted to select teams. The remaining 16 spots go to 14 teams from regional qualifiers and 2 from Wildcard slots. InsideSport
Regional qualifiers run from July 10 to 12, 2026, across regions including North & Central America, South America, Europe, MENA, Africa, and Southeast Asia + Oceania. TalkEsport
The ranking cut-off date to determine direct invites is June 7, 2026, based on performances in PMWC, PMGC, and PMGO events.
Why This Tournament Matters
This is the first-ever Esports Nations Cup, making it a historic moment for competitive gaming. Unlike the club-based Esports World Cup, the ENC is purely about national pride — the closest thing esports has to the FIFA World Cup. The full ENC 2026 will run November 2–29, featuring 16 titles and a $20 million total prize pool. Esports Charts PUBG Mobile’s inclusion as the 16th title confirms its standing as a top-tier global mobile esport.
For fans in India and across Asia, this is a massive opportunity to rally behind their national teams on the world stage. Follow all PUBG Mobile and esports updates at TechnoSports.
