How to Get the Adamant Exotic Keycard
Adamant Keycards drop randomly from Lawless Frontiers activities. Focus on bonus objective chests—they have significantly higher drop rates than main objective chests.
Thoroughly explore each mission map before extraction. Secret chests spawn near secondary objectives and hidden corners. For efficient farming strategies, check our Destiny 2 exotic guides.
Where to Use Your Adamant Keycard
Once you’ve secured an Adamant Keycard, launch the “Adamant, Europa: Sabotage” mission from the Lawless Frontiers menu. The vault location is tricky to find without guidance.
Step-by-Step Vault Location:
- Spawn at Piker’s Demise (same location as Fire and Ice Exotic mission)
- Turn around to spot the ruined Fallen Spider Tank
- Face forward and take the left slope between two paths
- Climb the second slope on the right side near the lamp
- Look left for a small circular vent entrance
- Use your Adamant Keycard to unlock the barrier
- Defeat the boss protecting the vault
- Loot all three chests inside
Pro tip: If you receive an Exotic armor piece, you can safely abandon the activity—your loot is already secured in your inventory.
Understanding Exotic Keycard Mechanics
Renegades introduced six unique Exotic Keycards: Adamant (Europa), Artesia Mons (Venus), Forging Matrix (Europa), Freehold Outskirts (Mars), Hellas Fortitude (Mars), and Selina Morass (Venus).
Each vault contains three chests offering Exotic armor, Dark Matter Ingots, and additional Keycards. Explore Destiny 2’s crafting systems to maximize your Renegades loot.
Maximizing Your Keycard Farming
Focus on missions with abundant bonus objectives—these spawn more secret chests. Europa and Mars offer simpler navigation than Venus’s complex Vex structures.
Fireteam coordination helps: teammates can split between main objectives and chest hunting, tripling acquisition rates. Visit Bungie’s Renegades page for official expansion details.
FAQs
Can I use the Adamant Keycard on any Europa mission?
No, the Adamant Keycard only works on Lawless Frontiers activities with “Adamant” in the mission name. If you try using it elsewhere, the vault door won’t unlock. Check your Director screen for the correct “Adamant, Europa” mission before loading in.
Do Exotic Keycards disappear after one use?
Yes, Exotic Keycards are single-use consumables that vanish from your inventory after unlocking a vault. However, they can drop repeatedly from Lawless Frontiers chests, so you can farm the same vault multiple times by collecting additional Keycards.
