Zhuo Bi can feel like a walking wall: ordinary attacks barely get through his shield. The trick is to read his flashes, defend at the right moment, and save your strongest hit for when his guard breaks.

Read the flashes, then react

Zhuo Bi’s attacks have a slow windup, so watch his shield rather than rushing in. These responses will help you avoid his biggest hits:
| Attack cue | Best response |
|---|---|
| Opening slam in a combo | Try to parry it; wait for the combo to finish before countering. |
| Blue-flash heavy smash | Block the hit and look for an opening. |
| Black-flash shield slide | Dodge to the side; be ready for follow-up slides. |
| Red-flash slam or dive | Dodge as the flash appears instead of relying on a block. |
| Frontal shockwave | Move sideways to get out of its path. |
Break the guard, then punish
Don’t waste long attack strings against the raised shield. Parry his slower attacks where you can, and dodge the red- and black-flash moves. The Dread Axe can deliver a powerful hit to help break his guard; the Shieldbreaker Talisman is a useful pick for dealing extra damage to shields.
When Zhuo Bi staggers, close in and use that brief opening to deal damage. Defeating him earns the Bastion Phantom Edge, a defensive tool that can block incoming attacks.
