Minecraft Actions & Stuff 1.13 Halloween Update: Die in Style with New Death Effects & Holstered Weapons

Minecraft

Minecraft Bedrock players, the spookiest update of the year just dropped—and it’s pure eye candy. Oreville Studios’ Actions & Stuff add-on 1.13 “Dying in Style” Halloween update is live, packing custom death animations for every mob, over 40 spooky variants, and the long-awaited holstered weapons. I fired it up the second it hit the Marketplace and spent an hour just watching creepers explode in glorious new ways. If you love immersive animations, this one’s non-negotiable.

Minecraft Update 1.13 Highlights

What’s New & How It Feels?

Every mob now dies differently—skeletons shatter, the Warden spews glowing souls from its chest, Endermen glitch out dramatically, and Blazes leave fiery trails. Player deaths got fresh animations too. Enable the Seasonal Mob Variants setting and Halloween skins (Frankenstein zombies, trick-or-treat villagers, wendigo horses, and more) spawn naturally. Pale Garden gets its own eerie retextures.

The real flex? Holstered weapons. Swords, axes, and pickaxes sit on your belt or back; bows, crossbows, and spears ride on your shoulders. Switch slots and they smoothly move to your hand. Pair it with the new sword combat stance and extended enchantment glows (now on armour, shields, and elytra) plus a subtle shimmer on unenchanted metal armour. Wolves even howl at the full moon, and Witch/Strider models got clean reworks.

Mount banking and dozens of bug fixes round it out. Already own the pack? Just hit Update on the Marketplace page (still 1690 Minecoins).

This add-on keeps making vanilla Minecraft feel alive. For the complete history of the blocky sandbox that started it all, check the official Minecraft Wikipedia page.
