One of Far Far West’s best-kept secrets is the Ghost Bell quest on the Far West map. Find all three shards, ring the Great Bell, and you’ll pocket one of the most useful Jokers in the game. Here’s exactly where to go.

All 3 Ghost Bell Shard Locations

Shard 1 — Church-Side Rock Formation
Head south of the Church and cross the small body of water. Look for a semicircle of large rocks — the bell sits right in the center. This is the easiest one to find since it’s right next to the main landmark.
Shard 2 — Northwest Zipline Cliff
Return to the middle of the map and head northwest. The second bell is on top of a hillside cliff. You can reach it by either using the nearby zipline or jumping up the rocks on the hill’s side. Watch out — a haunted house can spawn behind the hill and continuously push enemies at you.
Shard 3 — Northern Shoreline
Head dead north from the second bell’s location. The third shard sits on the beach at the edge of the map, next to some reed plants close to the water. It’s the hardest to stumble upon naturally since players rarely push this far north. Clear any enemy spawners before starting the puzzle here.
How the Ghost Bell Minigame Works
Each shard is locked behind a quick memory puzzle:
- Interact with the floor bell to trigger the minigame
- Multiple purple ghost bells spawn and ring in sequence
- Shoot them in the exact order they appeared
- Mess up? Interact with the floor bell again to reset — no penalty
Pro tip: Clear all nearby enemies and spawners before starting the puzzle. You’ll need to stand relatively still while aiming, and Far West’s enemies won’t wait politely.
Final Step — Ring the Great Bell
This is where most players slip up. Collecting all three shards is not the final step.
After all three shards are in your inventory, return to the Church on the southeastern side of the map. Climb to the roof using the crates on the left side of the building, then interact with the Great Bell on the tower to complete the secret mission. Skip this and the quest won’t count.
Once done, head to the gunsmith at the Saloon and slot the Bell Shot Joker into any weapon with two open Joker slots.

Why Bell Shot Is Worth the Effort
The Bell Shot Joker gives you a 5% chance on every weakspot hit to summon a healing ghost bell above your target. Shoot that bell to heal. With two bells able to be active at once, it turns consistent aim into passive sustain — particularly powerful in early runs when dedicated healing builds aren’t yet accessible.
FAQs
Q: Can I do the Ghost Bell Shard quest on any difficulty in Far Far West?
Yes, but Easy difficulty is strongly recommended since it reduces enemy pressure, letting you solve each bell puzzle without constant interruptions.
Q: What happens if I collect all three shards but don’t ring the Great Bell?
The secret quest won’t complete — ringing the Great Bell at the Church tower is the mandatory final step to unlock the Bell Shot Joker.
