Microsoft just did something wonderfully unhinged. A fully working Xbox Series X is now sitting inside a five-foot alligator, and one lucky fan will take it home. The stunt lands weeks before Grand Theft Auto VI, a game set in a Florida-inspired world. Xbox is winking at the fans without ever saying the game’s name.
What Is the Xbox Series X-BITE?
Picture a gator that swallowed a console whole. The Series X glows through an illuminated Xbox Nexus in the creature’s body. A custom controller with bite marks rests between its jaws, and the eye even carries an Xbox-logo pupil. John Nolan Studio, a creature animatronics specialist, built it through 3D modeling, sculpting and fabrication. Only one exists, and no real alligators were used or harmed.

Why the Gator Makes Sense?
GTA VI is a PlayStation-first conversation, and Xbox clearly knows it. Instead of fighting that head-on, the brand went weird and playful, and the internet noticed. It’s classic stunt marketing: no trailer, no spec sheet, just a memorable image people can’t stop sharing. If you love gaming’s stranger moments, our gaming coverage on Technosports has plenty more. You can also catch up on the latest tech news for the biggest launches and leaks.
Should You Display It or Play It?
The console works, but Xbox recommends treating the X-BITE as a display piece. Honestly, it’s a conversation starter that happens to run games. The catch is simple: if you live outside the US, you can’t enter, so enjoy this one from the sidelines.
